The Waterloo Gallery and Picture Framing Workshop exhibits paintings by mainly professional Scottish artists, and always has a comprehensive selection of Galloway scenes for sale, framed or unframed. Open throughout the year from 12 noon to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday, closed on Mondays unless it is a Bank Holiday. The gallery is located around the corner from Stranraer Library and opposite the car park. Private viewings can be arranged by telephone. Graham Bradshaw - Stuart Lammie On this page we want to feature the work of two of our exhibitors at the Waterloo Art Gallery: Graham, Bradshaw and Stuart Lammie. Graham's work is outstanding in its attention to even the finest details, be it trees, wild birds, cattle.... His work has to be seen to be truly appreciated, as these images here do not do his work justice. Both artists produce original work of a fascinating nature - indeed, their subject is, to the large part, nature itself! These works are sure to become much sought after by discerning collectors, and we urge you to come to our gallery and view these pieces at first hand. Please contact the gallery for more details and to ask about prints. GRAHAM BRADSHAW & STEWART LAMMIE - FEATURED ARTISTS left to right: Belted
Galloways at Ardwell, Belted Galloways at the Raider's Road, Belted
Galloways at home. left to right above: Highland Cattle, Crested Grebe, Gold Finches on Thistles. (For obvious reasons we have cut down the image quality of these pictures to prevent unauthorised copying) artist: Graham Bradshaw. Stuart Lammie approaches his work from a very different
yet fascinating angle. Stuart's work has an almost dream-like quality,
ethereal yet also truly reflective of what he sees. He has managed to
capture the real light of Galloway in his highly original pieces. Oddly,
for a landscape artist, Stuart works with the cooler shades of the
spectrum, often blending a fusion of blue washes mixed with earthy
colours. The result is as original as it is uniquely fascinating,
capturing the coastline as it really appears in all weathers. These
pictures are worthy of careful study, the more they are viewed, the more
is revealed. We would like to invite you to the Waterloo Art Gallery to view these pictures in all their glory. Please feel free to call in anytime we are open. Private viewings can be arranged by prior appointment. |
